Kanae Kusu
Ballet dancer based in Ehime,Japan

A native of Japan, Kusu began training at the age of four and continued her training at Northern Ballet School in United Kingdom where she received the Trinity College London Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance.
In 2011, Kusu graduated from Northern Ballet School and joined Ajkun Ballet Theatre in New York. In 2013, she joined Connecticut Ballet. During her two years there, she performed Clara in The Nutcracker alongside principal artists with American Ballet Theatre. Kusu has also danced with the Manchester City Ballet in the United Kingdom and Felice Lesser Dance Theater in New York. She has performed various roles such as Taglioni in Pas de Quatre, 1st Shade Soloist in La Bayadere, and Queen of Dryads in Don Quixote and various classical and contemporary repertoire.
In 2015, she joined Ballet San Antonio. She has performed Princess Florine and The White Cat in The Sleeping Beauty, Pas de trois in Swan Lake, Rosaline in Romeo and Juliet and Zulma in Giselle.
In 2020 after performing there for 5 years, Kusu decided to go back her homeland, Japan and now she is a freelance dancer based in Ehime area. She is passionate about collaborate with Artists who has different back born such as Japanese flute player, Japanese drum player and Nou player. Also she performs as a guest dancer in events and teaches Ballet.
